Westchester County Department of Emergency Services

Westchester County Emergency Services makes Westchester safer, stronger, and even more prepared to respond to a disaster or public health emergency such as a hurricane, a deliberate act of destruction, or a disease outbreak. Volunteers receive free training in emergency preparedness and response and learn to care for themselves, their families, and neighbors in an emergency. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of every person in Westchester County by providing comprehensive training for fire and emergency medical service personnel as well as training and operation of the Hazardous Material Response Team.
