Opportunity Details
Help maintain and beautify trails at the Rye Nature Center by moving woodchips onto trails. This work helps protect the soil from compaction and provides a clear path for park visitors. Early spring is the perfect time of year to help with this work as heat and poison ivy are not a worry! It's extremely satisfying to see your hard work in the form of a new beautiful trail.
Please note that this project involves manual labor, including shoveling, moving wheel barrows, and raking. The Friends of Rye Nature Center supplies all materials and can provide letters of recognition to volunteers if needed. Express interest below!
