Garden Greeters

Volunteer Garden Greeters are stationed near the garden entrance to welcome visitors, answer questions, and collect donations. Greeters sign up for 2-hour shifts, and new greeters are always paired with experienced volunteers. It's a great way to spend a couple of hours and even more fun with a friend!

There are shifts every Saturday and Sunday from April through October from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and on summer holidays. Two people work each two-hour shift. Volunteers will sit at a table in the shade under a tent at the garden entrance to greet and count visitors, answer questions, sell the Untermyer Gardens' Forgotten No More book, and encourage donations. Volunteers can select as many or as few shifts as they'd like. There are frequent training/orientation sessions for new Greeters.
