Mid-Week Trail Maintenance Team at Ward Acres Park
Ward Acres Park is a 62-acre passive-use park in north New Rochelle featuring several miles of trails through wooded and pasture areas. Volunteers are needed to perform regular maintenance, including invasive plant removal, water channeling, trail rerouting, erosion protection, and other projects.
The approximate meeting location is Ward Acres Park; the actual work area will be confirmed before each shift. Volunteers typically bring their own trail maintenance gear, such as work gloves, eye protection, loppers, folding saw, and buckets, though additional tools can be provided as needed based on the day's projects.
Volunteer work crews are limited to 4 volunteers per event and volunteers must be 18+. This project is best suited for volunteers who are capable of moderately strenuous work and who are available during a weekday morning.
