Opportunity Details

Volunteer Receptionists

Gilda's Club Westchester is looking for volunteers to assist with its reception desk. Primary responsibilities include answering phones, welcoming members and making sure they are registered, and stuffing or addressing envelopes on occasion. It can be very quiet at times, so volunteers are encouraged to bring a book, newspaper, or iPad when there's some downtime! Schedule is flexible.

Since 2001, Gilda’s Club Westchester has offered support for people whose lives have been touched by all types of cancer. It’s a warm, inviting place where everyone can come together to share their experiences. Free of charge and non-profit, Gilda’s Club Westchester offers emotional support, healthy lifestyle workshops and activities, and social events in a nonresidential, yet home-like setting. Its innovative programs are an essential complement to medical care.
