Huguenot Academy is the alternative high school for the New Rochelle School District. The school serves students who need a more intimate, focused learning environment. The goal of the "Speakers Bureau" is to help students reimagine their own futures after learning about different careers.
Professionals from all types of industries are welcome to join the Huguenot Academy's Speakers Bureau for monthly (Tuesdays only) classroom presentations. Each speaker should plan to speak for 15-20 minutes and then participate in a 10-minute Q&A session with students. Speakers would include their cultural backgrounds, their personal backstory, educational and vocational journeys—bumps and hiccups included! Most importantly, speakers are encouraged to talk about where they see themselves in five years and what baby steps they are taking to get there. Multisensory presentations and slides (visuals) are highly encouraged!
