2022 FAFSA Boot Camp Volunteers

Completing complicated financial aid applications, such as FAFSA and the NYS TAP, is a crucial step in the college admissions journey—and it's one that a lot of low-income, first-generation students struggle with. Volunteers can help by supporting the families of local school districts as they complete and submit their FAFSA and NYS TAP applications.

Latino U College Access (LUCA) is looking for FAFSA Volunteers to assist first-gen students and their families with completing and submitting their financial aid applications. All FAFSA Volunteers are required to attend a virtual (Zoom) FAFSA & NYS TAP Training session.

This project requires volunteers to register on a separate website:

  1. Express interest below in your preferred Boot Camp session(s) to record this opportunity in your Volunteer New York! profile and alert the volunteer coordinator.
  2. Click here to complete your registration for the virtual trainings and finalize your preferred Boot Camp date. Volunteers who do not complete this step will not be registered!
