Volunteer Coordinator

Travel Unity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on increasing diversity in the world of travel, is looking for Volunteer Coordinators to help with ongoing operations.

Travel Unity's work consists of two main components: introducing individuals to travel for both personal and professional development and aligning the travel industry with best practices around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Volunteers of all backgrounds, abilities, and geographic locations are welcome, and all roles are entirely virtual/remote.

Volunteer Coordinator responsibilities:

  • Adding Travel Unity Alliance members to platforms and spreadsheets
  • Updating WordPress website
  • Connecting travel industry organizations who are serious about DEI with diverse candidates
  • Finding and posting jobs onto Job Marketplace
  • Additional administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Prior administrative experience
  • Computer skills, including comfort with Google Drive applications and Google Chat
  • Self-starter who is comfortable asking questions when they need help
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow with organization
