2022 Outdoor Film Screening Volunteers
GARNER Arts Center and Rivertown Film are looking for event volunteers for its outdoor film screening of Summer of Soul (...Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised). This Oscar-winning documentary by Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson centers around the legendary 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, which celebrated African-American music and culture and promoted Black pride and unity.
This is a great opportunity for volunteers to get involved in local arts and cultural events at one of the region's most unique historic sites. Volunteers are needed to assist with pre-event setup (folding chairs, signage, waste bins, audio/visual equipment setup, etc.), event support (box office, concessions), and event breakdown. Express interest below!
