Office Administrator
The MLK Institute for Nonviolence is looking for a Volunteer Office Administrator who is experienced in office management, organizing files (both paper and digital), processing mail and email, and ordering supplies, and has an interest in learning the overall organizational and financial procedures of running a nonprofit office. The ideal time commitment is 6-8 hours per week.
The volunteer will support the MLK Freedom Library as well as assist board members working on events and projects, including dinners, youth events, and the annual concert. The Office Administrator will also work with other volunteers, supporting and overseeing their activities as needed.
Volunteer requirements:
- Attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office
- Experience in (or willingness to learn) social media; Mailchimp; Quicken; FileMaker database; Gmail; and Google Sheets, Docs, and Groups
