2022 75th Anniversary Diapers and Wipes Drive
Many families in Westchester County already struggle to afford enough diapers for their babies, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only increased that need. The Westchester County Diaper Bank—run by the Junior League of Central Westchester (JLCW)—is instrumental in making sure those families can take care of their babies.
To honor its 75th anniversary this year, the Junior League of Central Westchester is hosting a special donation drive to collect 75,000 diapers for the Westchester County Diaper Bank. Volunteers can help by organizing a donation drive to collect diapers that will then be donated to the Diaper Bank. Diaper drives can be run from home, work, school, a faith-based organization, or any other organization to which the volunteers belong!
Volunteers will be provided with a "How to Host a Diaper Drive" kit, as well as posters and educational materials to get started. Larger diaper sizes (4, 5, and 6) and pull-ups (all sizes) are in high demand. Baby wipes are also needed! Those volunteers who can't run a drive can consider donating some diapers.
This project is perfect for families, companies, faith-based organizations, students, and youth groups. Express interest below if you're looking for a great leadership project that will help families and their babies.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 5+, Minimum Age:16+
