PAL Program Volunteers
Partners Health Plan's PAL Program discovers its members' passions and interests and matches them with a person or place in the community who shares a similar passion or interest. Some activities include arts and crafts, attending church together, and playing sports. Volunteers who speak Spanish are encouraged to apply!
How does it work?
Meet with each other once a week or bi-weekly depending on your availability. The first outing will always be accompanied by a PAL Program Coordinator. Volunteers provide their own transportation to meet the individual at the destination. Volunteers then report to the community resource coordinator with updates on the progress of their outings. Suggested time commitment is six months to one year.
Benefits
Volunteers receive an optional professional reference upon completion of the program in addition to volunteer hours if needed. (This must be disclosed in order to track time at the start of participation.) They will also receive an optional professional reference upon completion of the program
PHP provides equal opportunity for all volunteers. Volunteers will meet at Westchester ARC for the initial meeting and be in various locations within the surrounding area afterward.
