Create Laundry Sachets for Families in Emergency Shelters

Volunteers will bag laundry detergent, fold in a dryer sheet, cover them in fabric remnants and secure them with a thoughtful or inspiring note. This is a very practical need for many families and it lets the recipients know that others are thinking of and supporting them. Volunteers must be 16 years old or 10 with an adult to participate in this event. There is free parking for volunteers at the Westchester County Center. Let the parking attendant know you are there to volunteer for the 9/11 event. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember
