The Scarsdale Arts Council is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help organize volunteers for the annual Scarsdale Summer Art Festival. The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit volunteers, coordinate their assignments, and communicate with participating arts organizations.
This volunteer should be able to commit about 3-10 hours per week preparing for the festival, which lasts about three weeks from July to August. The Scarsdale Summer Art Festival features art shows, Scarsdale student art exhibitions and various one-off events. The festival will need volunteers to act as docents for the pop-up art exhibits around Scarsdale Village Center, as well as operational volunteers.
This is a great role for residents who want to build up or utilize their event organization, communications, and team management experience as well as celebrate the arts in Scarsdale!
