Service Coordinators to Help Seniors
Do you want to make a difference in your community and you happen to have a few hours per month to spare? It Takes a Village is a volunteer-run team that helps seniors in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow live independently in their homes by providing rides and in-home services for free, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It Takes a Village is looking for dedicated Volunteer Service Coordinators. These remote volunteers intercept requests for services from senior members of the community and match them with the available volunteers on-call. Service Coordinators also help update It Takes a Village's member records (training is provided). This is the perfect opportunity for those who are looking to add to their resumes and sharpen their communications and administrative skills.
Volunteering can easily be done from home and the time commitment is just four hours (either 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1-5 p.m.) for one weekday per week. Bilingual skills (English-Spanish) are always welcome, but not required!
