CSA Volunteer Coordinator

QUICK GLANCE:

• This is a one day weekly commitment for 20 weeks (Tuesday or Thursday)
• Hours are 4:30- 7:30pm
• Anticipated Dates are June 5 - Oct 25, 2018
• You must be able to lift 40-50 lbs
• You will be assisting customers at the farm stand

Hilltop Hanover Farm is looking for 2 volunteer C.S.A coordinators to assist with our Farm Stand style CSA in 2018. This is a weekly commitment for 20 weeks during the growing season, usually starting the beginning of June and running through October. You will be considered a C.S.A. member should you volunteer for this opportunity

• We have two days available with the same time slot Tuesday or Thursday 4:30pm to 7:30pm.

Duties include: stocking the farm stand as needed, greeting, keeping track of members pick up, assisting them with identifying what veggies are available in their share, and as you become more knowledgeable, perhaps how to prepare them. You will be storing leftover veggies from the stand to the cooler at the end of day and  closing up. You should be able to lift up to 40-50 lb.

What is a CSA?

C.S.A. stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a mutually beneficial commitment between the farmer and the consumer. Members of the CSA ensure a base and stable income for the farm throughout the growing season. In return, the farm provides CSA members with a weekly share of freshly picked produce.

The spirit of Community Supported Agriculture is that members and farmers work together to contribute to a resilient and healthy local food system. This leads to an understanding that members provide support to the farm, while the farm works hard to provide a plentiful, consistent, and varied supply of farm fresh produce. Hilltop Hanover Farm has 6 years of farm share management, and many years of farm stand and u-pick experience.

Hilltop's Farm provides nutritious, delicious produce throughout the season. Produce is grown using sustainable and organic practices, without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides.
