Mental Health Database and Research Volunteer
Volunteer needed for the Borderline Personality Disorder Resource Center of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Westchester to research resources and facilities nationwide that have experience treating Borderline Personality Disorder to update and maintain a database of contact information.
Volunteer will work with staff to identify new resources for patients and families, research contact information and perform database entry.
This is a great opportunity for a student/graduate with an interest in mental health and Borderline Personality Disorder to interact and learn the work that is being done in this prestigious institution to facilitate diagnosis, treatment and support for those with this complex disorder, and to assist their families who are trying to help them to secure appropriate care.
Requirements:
- Good communication and computer skills
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to work independently
Commitment:
- Volunteer must commit to a minimum of four hours per week
- We ask for a total commitment of 100hrs/6 months but will consider less
Training:
- Training will be provided
