GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center, Westchester is currently looking for an assistant volunteer program leader to join our wonderful dedicated team.
Teen Tastic: Meets on the FIRST Friday of the month at 6-8pm or 5-7pm.
Teen Tastic (ages 13-17) is in need of a leader (or leaders to co-lead) to help run this very popular social skills program. Teen Tastic promotes friendships, social interaction and communication through a variety of social activities, outings and games for teens. The goals of the program are: to promote positive peer relationships, encourage peer relationships with teens in the community and social skills development. At least a 6-month commitment is required.
Volunteer Program Leader Requirements:
- Must be 18+
- Attend an hour orientation
(Sessions available 6.30pm-7.30pm 1st Wed of the month, except for Jan which is 2nd Wed)
- Observe two programs
- Once the above requirements have been fulfilled a background check is required.
