We are looking for volunteers to help at our annual Teen Boutique! Twice a year, The Sharing Shelf also creates a pop-up boutique for low-income teen girls called Teen Boutique. At Teen Boutique, girls are invited to shop for free seasonally appropriate clothing and accessories. Our 9th Teen Boutique will take place on Saturday, November 12th at New York Covenant Church in New Rochelle. Please note this event is not open to the public and is by invitation and registration only. Thursday, 11/10 Volunteers are needed from 3-5pm to load vans/trucks/suvs with clothing to take from our Port Chester warehouse to New Rochelle. This is a great opportunity for a team. Friday 11/11 Volunteers are needed to set-up between 9am - 3pm. There are multiple shifts starting at 9am. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 2 hours. All volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Those ages 13-14 must accompany together with a parent or guardian. Please note that this is Veteran's Day and some schools are closed. Saturday 11/12 - 1. Volunteers are needed to finish set-up 9am -10:45 (open to those 13 and older/teens 13-14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) 2. Two shifts during the day 1) to complete setup and help run the event and 2) to help run and take down the event (for both events, we require a 3 hour commitment and all volunteers must be at lest 18 years old and out of high school) 3. One shift from 3-5pm to take down the event (open to those 13 and older/teens 13-14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) We are also looking for group volunteering between October 31 and November 7th to help organize donations in our Port Chester warehouse.
