2016 Near-Peer Mentors - White Plains
We are excited to launch our "First Gen Forward" initiative, dedicated to supporting future college and career success. A big component of this initiative is to provide our student "fellows" with additional support during their first and second year of college. Mentorship will be a big part of that support. We are currently recruiting mentors who want to make a difference in the life of a college bound Latino student who is the first in their family to go to college. Near- Peer Mentors, are individuals between 20-30 years of age who wish to share their experience and advice with a first gen college bound student. Mentors will receive a $250.00 stipend. Mentorship can be done virtually or in-person. Meeting times can be determined by the mentor and mentee's schedules. Should you have any questions, please call 914-839-0010 or email First Gen Program Manager Claudette at caldebot@latinou.org We look forward to your participation as a Near-Peer Mentor at Latino U College Access program. Thank you in advanced for your support. Best regards, Claudette Aldebot #IG001
