HELPING STREET CATS Volunteers with Pet Rescue support street cats through programs to trap, neuter and return (TNR) and to find homes for those that are friendly. Our work is primarily in Mount Vernon, Yonkers, Port Chester, and White Plains and done on a by-request basis. The goal is to keep feral colonies from reproducing and to rescue cats that had been pets until they were put outside and abandoned. Volunteers partner with other rescue groups to help find homes for those that are adoptable. Pet Rescue has a very limited number of volunteers available to do TNR and would welcome more hands to help with feeding, trapping, transportation and aftercare. Donations are most welcome too!
