2016-2017 Writers Center Volunteers

The Hudson Valley Writers Center, located in the historic Philipse Manor railroad station, is seeking volunteers to assist it in its mission to bring a wide range of literary experience to the tri-state area. In addition to public readings by established and emerging writers, we also offer a variety of writing workshops in many genres, and publish new poetry under the small press imprint of Slapering Hol Press. ​We are seeking individuals to assist us in the areas of:

• Marketing (data entry, social media posting, list management, brochure distribution, website updates, marketing research)
• Special Events (set-up/breakdown, field info calls, greeting guests, artist relations, gala planning and day-of help)
• Administration (organizing, data base management, correspondence, phones, accounting entries)
• Rentals (setup/breakdown, facilitation)
• Development (grant opportunity research, editing)
