PALS Programs creates immersive experiences for young adults with Down syndrome and their peers. To this end, we run week-long overnight camps all over the country during which we pair a camper with Down syndrome alongside a counselor to foster friendships between all kinds of people. Not only are our camps seriously fun and engaging, but provide a unique bridge between the disability community and the mainstream community in a way that’s valuable for everyone. We are looking for male volunteers who are at least 17 years of age to spend the week with us at our camp at Iona College from 7/24-7/30. You'll be paired with an a young adult with Down syndrome and share meals, participate in programming, and go on fun excursions. To apply, visit our website: www.palsprograms.org.
