Giving Tree Global, Inc. ( "Bread of Life") is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We provide food, clothing, and institutional support to food pantries and homeless shelters throughout Westchester County, New York, where 1 in 5 people is hungry.
Giving Tree Global works with a variety of partners to deliver food relief to those in need; however, a specific emphasis is placed on utilizing one of the most abundant resources in our community: excess food. Our team works with local grocery stores, restaurants, and food distributors to deliver excess food that would otherwise be discarded as waste to those experiencing food insecurity.
While ending hunger is our mission, we do more than simply meet physical needs. We bring hope to those who see no future and assurance that every life has value. We bring the healing that comes through the grace of Jesus and the power of the cross.
HOW CAN WE HELP?
Every other Monday we have an on-site Food Pantry in which clients drive up to our gate and we distribute food bags to them. Volunteers are needed to help bag food, take names and addresses of clients, distribute food bags to clients and help clean up.
