Special Events Committee

The Special Events Committee Member supports the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising and awareness events for MAC Angels Foundation. Committee members work collaboratively to ensure that events run smoothly, meet fundraising goals, and align with the organization's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend and actively participate in regular committee meetings (in person or virtual)
  • Assist in planning and implementing logistics for events (e.g. venue, catering, entertainment, permits)
  • Solicit sponsorships, in-kind donations, and auction items as needed
  • Help promote events through social media, personal networks, and community outreach
  • Assist with event registration, setup, and breakdown as needed
  • Serve as an ambassador for the organization by engaging guests and sharing the mission at events
  • Provide feedback and support post-event evaluations and debriefs

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the mission of MAC Angels Foundation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Experience in event planning, fundraising, marketing, or public relations (preferred but not required)
  • Willingness to make personal outreach to networks and/or support fundraising efforts

Time Commitment:

  • Approximately 2-3 hours per month, with increased hours during event months
  • Attendance at all events hosted by MAC Angels Foundation is encouraged
