2025 Juneteenth African Heritage Festival
The Joseph Gabriel Foundation is participating as a community vendor at the Juneteenth African Heritage Festival, a vibrant celebration of Black culture, heritage, and resilience. It is seeking dedicated volunteers who are passionate about youth advocacy, mental health, mentorship, and empowerment to support its table and outreach efforts during this all-day event.
Volunteers will:
- Engage attendees and share resources on youth violence prevention
- Support youth-focused interactive activities
- Promote the Foundation's mental health and mentorship initiatives
- Help with event setup, coordination, and breakdown
This is an ideal project for:
- Individuals with experience in youth advocacy, counseling, mentoring, or social work
- College students studying social sciences, psychology, education, or human services
- Teens (ages 16+) with leadership training or peer mentoring experience
- Anyone passionate about empowering young people and promoting safe, thriving communities
Volunteers will make a direct impact in the community on a day of cultural celebration and historical reflection, gain experience in youth engagement and community outreach, network with other local organizations and leaders, and receive a certificate of service upon request.
