2024 Head Start Professional Development Days - Port Chester

Family Services of Westchester's Port Chester Head Start Center staff members are seeking assistance with their upcoming professional development event. Volunteers are needed prior to the event as well as after.

Event setup:

  • Move furniture in the classroom
  • Set up the rental chairs and tables
  • Prepare the rooms with the required materials and IT equipment

Event breakdown:

  • Assist with lunch clean-up
  • Stack chairs and tables

Founded in 1954, Family Services of Westchester (FSW) is a private, nonprofit, non-sectarian social services agency that provides mental health and social services to strengthen and support families, children, and individuals at every stage of their lives. FSW's Head Start/Early Head Start is a federal government program that was created in 1965 to give preschool children from low-income families a "head start" on their readiness for elementary school.
