2024 Passover Friendly Chat and Package Delivery

DOROT’s Passover Package Deliver brings hundreds of older adults and volunteers together to share warmth and companionship. Volunteers are needed to deliver a thoughtful, seasonal care package and connect with an older neighbor.

Volunteer requirements:

• ​Must be 18+
• Must provide a valid, U.S. government-issued photo ID
• Must be able to attend the online orientation (new volunteers)
• Must be able to pick up and deliver packages at the specified date and time

This activity involves several steps and requires volunteers to register on a separate website:

1. Before March 31: "Express Interest" in one of the delivery dates below to record this opportunity in your Volunteer New York! profile and alert the volunteer coordinator. Registration for this opportunity closes on March 31 at 11:59 p.m.
2. Click here to complete your registration with DOROT Westchester. Volunteers who do not complete this step will not be registered!
3. On April 2 at 12:30 p.m.: log online to attend a Zoom orientation with instructions on delivering your package. (Zoom invitation information will be emailed to you after registering)
4. On April 7 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.: pick up 1-3 care packages from DOROT and deliver them to your assigned neighbors' homes. Stick around for a visit, or call/Zoom them later for a 20-30 minute chat!
