2024 Spring Candy Basket Drive

Volunteers are needed to create spring candy baskets to distribute to Lifting Up Westchester's client families. Both store-bought or handmade are welcome, and volunteers can make up to 30. This is a fantastic group project for small corporate teams and offices, faith groups, families, and classrooms.

Candy basket requirements:

• Include individually wrapped candy or treats (the kids love chocolate!)
• NEW small toy or plush animal (used toys not accepted for hygienic reasons)
• No nuts
• No repackaged bags of food (i.e. do not open a big bag and distribute into smaller bags)
• Please wrap small and medium baskets in cellophane for easier distribution

This is a self-directed opportunity. To volunteer:

1. Express interest (or express interest as a "family, group, or team" if registering more than one volunteer) to record this opportunity in your Volunteer New York! record and to alert the volunteer coordinator
2. Collect and package the items above
