Opportunity Details
Volunteers who enjoy reading and helping children are needed for a Community Read Aloud event for 50 children ages 4 to 11. Each Reader will be assigned to a group of children and will read an age-appropriate book about this year's theme, "resilience." After the reading, the volunteers will facilitate a Q&A to help the children better understand the meaning of resilience and identify ways they've been resilient in their own lives.
Volunteer Readers should be compassionate, articulate, energetic, animated, and able to project their voices well. Readers will also assist with a book raffle and backpack giveaway. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers and bilingual (Spanish/English) readers are encouraged. Express interest below!
