Opportunity Details

2023 9/11 Diaper Packaging Event

In honor of those lost on September 11, 2001, volunteers are asked to serve their communities by preparing diaper packages for Westchester families. Volunteers will place a one-week's supply of diapers into a large Ziploc bag along with a package of baby wipes and educational inserts. A recent study by the National Diaper Bank Network reports that nearly one in two families struggle to diaper their babies. This population needs volunteers' help more than ever! This opportunity is ideal for families and groups as well as teens looking for community hours.

The Westchester County Diaper Bank is formed by the Junior League of Central Westchester's partnership with the Westchester County Executive's office and the Westchester County Department of Social Services. The Diaper Bank provides diapers at no cost as temporary assistance to struggling families in Westchester County.
