Opportunity Details

2023 9/11 Community Clothing Sort Day

The Sharing Shelf was founded to address clothing insecurity and meet the basic needs of low income children and teens in Westchester County. Committed to the whole child—from birth through age 19—The Sharing Shelf provides a week's worth of seasonally appropriate clothing and essentials, including diapers (for infants and toddlers), toiletry kits, period products, new socks, new underwear, and school supplies.

To honor the 9/11 Day of Service, The Sharing Shelf is inviting volunteers to help sort through donated clothing for its Community Sort Day. Volunteers will be trained how to sort through donated clothing at the Sharing Shelf clothing bank. This is a great opportunity to learn about the organization and its many other volunteer opportunities in the coming months.

Interested volunteers should express interest below and a staff member of The Sharing Shelf will reach out with details about the project.
