Create Laundry Sachets for Women at the YWCA – Shames JCC on the Hudson

Volunteers will bag laundry detergent, fold in a dryer sheet, cover them in fabric remnants and secure them with a thoughtful or inspiring note. This is a very practical need for many people, and it lets the recipients know that others are thinking of and supporting them. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old or 10 years old with an adult to participate in this event. All children 10 to 15 years old must be with an adult at all times and fill out a youth waiver. PARKING: There is one entrance to the JCC only, right off of route 9. The entrance is around the side when you pull in, volunteers should park in the second lot. Look out for the signage to help. Shames JCC is a vax required facility, and all volunteers ages 12+ will have to show proof of vaccination to be let in for the Day or Service. We are monitoring covid levels in the counties and will follow CDC guidelines for any masking requirements we might put in place. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember.
