Horse Paddock and Landscaping Rehabilitation at Access Equestrian (Mt. Kisco)

Volunteers will work on the grounds of an adaptive riding center which serves children and adults with disabilities. Volunteers will engage in such tasks as painting of paddock fences, trail clearing/maintenance, removal of invasive plants, general debris cleanup and some landscaping/gardening. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, or 12 - 17 years old with an adult and signed Youth Waiver to participate in this event. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothes they can move in. Closed toe shoes are required. Volunteers are encouraged to bring boots if they would like to work clearing invasive plant growth. We also recommend volunteers bringing/wearing hats. Long sleeves encouraged. Parking: Follow the designated signs from the road down the driveway toward the main white barn building where volunteers will check-in. Parking all along the side of the long driveway to the barn. We ask that all volunteers who are 12 and older be vaccinated unless they have a compromised immune system. We are monitoring covid levels in the counties and will follow CDC guidelines for any masking requirements we might put in place. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember.
