Opportunity Details

Take Action at Croton Point Park (Croton-on-Hudson)

At this cleanup at beautiful Croton Point Park on the Hudson River, volunteers can choose to do litter cleanup around the park or debris cleanup on the beach to make this park more accessible to its visitors and healthier for the various birds and animals that call it home! Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, or 5 - 15 years old with an adult and signed Youth Waiver to participate in this event. Volunteers should wear long pants, long sleeves, sturdy shoes, and items you don't mind getting dirty. Please bring your own reusable water bottle. Parking: As you enter the park, let the parking attendant know you are volunteering with Westchester Parks Foundation. Continue on the main drive and at the fork bear right. You will reach a large parking lot. Continue to the far end of this lot to WPF tent. Look out for the signage to help. We ask that all volunteers who are 5 and older be vaccinated unless they have a compromised immune system. We are monitoring covid levels in the counties and will follow CDC guidelines for any masking requirements we might put in place. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember.
