Storytellers
Last year, our volunteer storytellers held 162,738 children in 1896 classrooms in 212 schools ... spellbound! After training sequence, volunteers tell stories at least once a month in classroom settings, at the Field Library or at other community events. Our mission is to build character, community and intergenerational understanding. Be part of a growing national organization. At least a one year commitment & attendance at monthly inservice sessions required. Bilingual tellers welcome!
Training: Completion of a three-day training sequence is required. Monthly in-service training sessions are held on specified Fridays at the Peekskill library.
