Mount Vernon Office for the Aging

The Office for the Aging was established in December 1976 under the Office of the Mayor and mandated to implement, develop, and administer programs, services, and personal needs of Mount Vernon’s senior population (60+). Funded through Westchester County and New York State Office for the Aging under Title III of the Older Americans Act and local funding sources, the Mount Vernon Office of the Aging is home to several programs and organizations that serve residents of Mount Vernon. Seniors come daily to the office for a variety of services, including a nutrition program, recreation activities, and referrals to needed services.
