Food Pantry Volunteers
The Interfaith Emergency Food Pantry of Pleasantville is seeking volunteers to assist with bagging groceries and distributing these bags to clients.
Morning shift volunteers (10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) will be sorting and packaging fruits, vegetables, perishable and nonperishable items into bags. Afternoon shift volunteers (12:45-3 p.m.) will then distribute these packed bags to clients of the food pantry, as well as help register and check-in guests if needed.
Volunteers may wear casual, comfortable clothing and those who sign up for both shifts will have a short break in between. The pantry can offer water and snacks to volunteers, and both stairs and an elevator are available for use if needed to move between floors.
Court-mandated volunteers cannot be accommodated at this time. Registration closes 72 hours prior to the shift start time. Express interest in one or more shifts below!
