2025 Community Action Poverty Simulation Volunteers
Legal Services of the Hudson Valley is the largest provider of free, civil legal services in seven counties of the Mid-Hudson Valley area. LSHV is seeking volunteers to play the role of community resource professionals as part of a Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS). LSHV staff will play the role of the families for this simulation.
The goal of the simulations is to mimic the experience of families in poverty over a period of time. There will be a 1-hour virtual orientation for all volunteers, and lunch will be provided on the day of the opportunity. Volunteers will be reimbursed for parking fees at the municipal lot nearby.
