Theater Ushers and Greeters

MorDance is seeking friendly and reliable individuals to serve as ushers and greeters for performances at its studio/theater space. High school and college students are encouraged to apply for school credit and valuable experience in the arts.

Schedule

• Tuesday, April 30 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: student matinees
• Wednesday, May 1 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: student matinees
• Thursday, May 2 from 7:30-10 p.m.: public performances
• Friday, May 3 from 7:30-10 p.m.: public performances
• Saturday, May 4 from 7:30-10 p.m.: public performances

Roles and responsibilities

• Greet patrons as they arrive and assist with seating
• Distribute programs and provide information about the performance
• Monitor audience behavior and assist with any inquiries or concerns
• Help maintain a welcoming and organized environment in the theater

Perks

• Volunteers will have the opportunity to watch the performance for free during their shift

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and courteous in high-pressure situations
• Punctuality and reliability
• Interest in the arts and enthusiasm for supporting live theater
