Head Start Department - Archive Volunteer
The Head Start program at Family Services of Westchester seeks a volunteer to assist with recording and archiving client files. The volunteer will sort client records to be shredded or archived and stored. Items to be archived will be entered into a spreadsheet and the boxes readied and labeled for storage.
Volunteer requirements:
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Patience and ability to manage expectations
- A commitment to treat all people with dignity and respect
- A friendly, warm demeanor
- Maintain confidentiality
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Comfortability with Excel (for the archiving portion of this role)
The Center for All Ages is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The volunteer may select a preferred shift to be confirmed with the Senior Manager of Volunteer Services. Office Volunteers must have a minimum education level of high school or equivalent.

Family Services of Westchester's Head Start/Early Head Start is a federal government program that was created in 1965 to give preschool children from low-income families a "head start" on their readiness for elementary school. These centers aim to support families beyond the classroom.
