Social Media Article Writer
First Steps To Heal, Inc. is looking for a Volunteer Content/Article Writer who is experienced in marketing and communications.
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting research for domestic violence statistics, data, and news in Westchester County and New York State
- Writing articles, press releases, and email marketing
- Researching, writing, and finding visuals for social media posts
- Helping to maintain editorial calendar for digital media purposes
Skills required:
- Excellent research skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Excellent spelling and attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Canva
First Steps To Heal’s mission is to provide immediate assistance and emergency shelter via extended hotel stays to low-income survivors of intimate partner violence who are in fear of their life and need to escape a violent situation. The organization's goal is to increase the amount of available shelter beds in Westchester County for domestic violence survivors and their dependent children.
