Support United for the Troops for the Holidays
Help Volunteer New York! and United for the Troops send a little comfort to members of the military overseas this holiday season! United for the Troops supports the troops serving overseas by sending them care packages of items they say they miss the most while they are deployed. (Find their wish list here.) Hand-written letters, cards, and pictures are always welcome and included in the care packages. This year, United for the Troops aims to send out 10,000 letters and cards.
This is a great opportunity to get the whole family involved because young children can make cards and help pick out items. Volunteer New York! will have a collection bin in its office during the month of November and into December. Donations can be dropped off Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. #donatetoiletries
