Sort Clothing Donations for Low-Income Children

The Sharing Shelf, a program of Family Services of Westchester, is Westchester's Clothing Bank for Children. We seek volunteers to help us sort, package and distribute clothing donations for low income children in the Westchester community. The Sharing Shelf collects new and gently used clothing for children from birth to age 19. Donations are sorted by quality, size, season and gender then distributed through nonprofits, schools and hospitals in our community to children in need at no cost. Each child receives a week's worth of seasonally appropriate clothing matched to their sizing needs.

Volunteers are needed to help us sort donations and prepare them for the children we serve. Volunteers must be at least 10 years old and those ages 10-14 must be accompanied by a parent who actively volunteers with them.
