Families & Groups
You Don’t Need To Go It Alone! Volunteering with friends, family or co-workers can bring you quality bonding time while helping others.
Volunteer New York! has numerous supports to get you started:
• Youth Volunteer Guidebook – An annual guide that highlights all of the youth appropriate volunteer opportunities in our area. The Youth Guidebook makes it easy for families and youth to find service opportunities in their area as well as contains tips and tricks on how to conduct leadership projects and complete community service requirements. We recommend that guidance counselors and school staff also download a copy as a reference.
• School Programs – Volunteer New York! is prepared to support your school’s volunteer program through providing internships, opportunity referrals and staff who are available to talk to your students about getting the most out of their service. If you would like to talk to a representative about how Volunteer New York! can help you contact us at volunteer@volunteer-center.org or 914-948-4452.
• Special Events – Every year Volunteer New York! holds several special events that mobilize volunteers throughout the community. To learn how your group or family can become a part of this movement click here.
