Every day, thousands of people turn to Westchester Library System (WLS) and their local libraries for information. Thousands more use online resources and leaning tools available at www.westchesterlibraries.org.
As a countywide cooperative system of 38 independent public libraries, WLS provides a technology infrastructure that helps build capacity to support more efficient and cost-effective library services.
Our goal is to help people discover opportunities - through books, digital resources, and cultural programming - as well as through our work to foster work force and youth development, support the interests and needs of a thriving senior population, aid underserved populations, and act as a laboratory for innovative community enrichment projects.
Being a volunteer in one of our programs offers the opportunity to serve, learn, and connect with people who know the power of information and lifelong learning. Tap that power - for yourself and others - as a volunteer in one of our programs: GEDConnect!, Senior Benefits Information Centers, Homework Help. Other opportunities are available - just call Elena Falcone, Director, Office of Community Connections at (914) 231-3240.
