Westchester Library System

Every day, thousands of people turn to Westchester Library System (WLS) and their local libraries for information. Thousands more use online resources and leaning tools available at www.westchesterlibraries.org. As a countywide cooperative system of 38 independent public libraries, WLS provides a technology infrastructure that helps build capacity to support more efficient and cost-effective library services. Our goal is to help people discover opportunities - through books, digital resources, and cultural programming - as well as through our work to foster work force and youth development, support the interests and needs of a thriving senior population, aid underserved populations, and act as a laboratory for innovative community enrichment projects. Being a volunteer in one of our programs offers the opportunity to serve, learn, and connect with people who know the power of information and lifelong learning. Tap that power - for yourself and others - as a volunteer in one of our programs: GEDConnect!, Senior Benefits Information Centers, Homework Help. Other opportunities are available - just call Elena Falcone, Director, Office of Community Connections at (914) 231-3240.
