White Plains Library Foundation

http://foundation.whiteplainslibrary.org

The White Plains Library Foundation was established in 1995 to help the White Plains Public Library meet its long-range goals. Through the generosity of donors, the Foundation helps fund a range of vital Library programs including career resources for adults, local history research, early literacy, teen programming, language learning, cultural events and capital improvements to the Library's 82,000 square foot building in downtown White Plains. The White Plains Public Library is a dynamic civic institution that serves over 600,000 visitors each year. Last year, the Library attracted over 26,000 program participants and circulated over 650,000 items. The Trove, a library for children, opened in 2005 and the Edge, a library and innovative media lab for teens, opened in 2014. We are currently completing renovations to nearly 40,000 square feet on the first floor to create the Hub, a new area for adults.
