2026 National Public Lands Day
Join the Nature Center at Greenburgh on the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort honoring public lands! On National Public Lands Day, volunteers of all ages and experience levels can support the restoration and stewardship of the Nature Center's 33-acre public preserve with an outdoor project. Please come dressed and prepared to work in the outdoors.
Volunteers are encouraged to come early and stick around after their volunteer project to enjoy the day's other festivities:
- 9:30 a.m.: official ribbon cutting for the new Welcome Center
- 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: outdoor preserve volunteer project; sign up below
- 2 p.m.: conservation puppet show
- 10 a.m.-4 p.m.: crafts and animal visits
