2026 Back-to-School Backpack Prep Day

Many Westchester families struggle to make ends meet, and purchasing school supplies often falls near the bottom of the list. Thanks to the generosity of our community, Family Services of Westchester has collected hundreds of backpacks to be distributed to children of all ages—from Pre-K through high school—who are enrolled in its programs.

Of course, before these backpacks can be given away, they must first be sorted and filled with supplies! Volunteers are needed to help pack these backpacks with all of the school supplies that the children and teens will need to make a strong start for the upcoming school year.

Family Services of Westchester runs community support programs for people of all ages, from early childhood and family assistance to mental health support and free rides to seniors.
