2026 Freedom School Activity Volunteers

The YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester's Freedom School allows children to dedicate their summer break to building a love of reading, learning, and leadership. • Sports and fitness
  • Cooking and nutrition
  • Technology and coding
  • Gardening
  • Storytelling and writing
  • Science experiments
  • Career exploration
  • Wellness and mindfulness
  • Theater and creative expression
  • ...or any other unique subject that could inspire young minds

Time commitment:

  • Sessions are 45 minutes long
  • There are two session opportunities per day: 1-2 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.
